Madi Simonato
Qualified Pilates Instructor
Madi has been teaching for North Pilates for almost 2 years. She's a superstar instructor who might be little, but packs a punch! Madi continues to bring a fresh new approach to reformer pilates and her classes are all very unique, incorporating toning balls, bands, weights and other equipment to enhance your workout!

Madi’s passion for movement began at the age of three when she first started dancing. Her dedication and talent led her to move to Brisbane to attend a full-time ballet school. Unfortunately, an illness that left her temporarily paralysed brought her dancing career to an end and required her to relearn how to walk. This challenging experience, however, sparked a new passion, health and fitness. Through her rehabilitation journey, Madi was inspired by the incredible professionals who supported her recovery and guided her toward a career in the fitness industry. She discovered the transformative impact that movement has on both the body and mind, which continues to drive her work today.
Madi is now an accredited Group Fitness, Barre, Pilates, and Personal Trainer, with over five years of experience teaching Pilates (both mat and reformer). She takes great pride in supporting her clients’ growth, helping them build strength, confidence, and a deeper connection to their bodies. In addition to her fitness qualifications, Madi holds a Bachelor of Education (Primary), reflecting her strong commitment to teaching, learning, and empowering others to reach their full potential.

Annette Axford
Qualified Pilates Instructor

Hi! My name is Annette Axford, my journey to become a pilates instructor has been a very personal one. Just over three years ago, I got sick of doctors telling me you have to learn to live with what you have, there is no cure. Suffering occipital neuralgia, severe whiplash, brain fog, chronic pain and a permanent headache since 2012. I was determined to find that cure or at least learn to live with it. I was sick of fighting my condition. In our modern day world of prescription drugs, procedures and everything you can think of, I tried. And then along came pilates, and it quickly consumed me. I noticed my health started to improve, but most of all my mental health became very positive in every essence of my new found world. I absolutely love sharing my journey to inspire others. I know the benefits personally and that is why I became an instructor. I have always loved exercise but pilates I feel is a whole new level. Building stronger muscles and especially our core helps to support our bones/joints as we get older. This has become a very important part of my life, sharing to help others.
